GORDON CASSERLY
b.1869 d.1947
Casserly was born (James Henry) Gordon Casserly in Dublin in 1869. In the Checklist of Fantastic Literature E.F. Bleiler's lists as fantastic The Elephant God (New York: Putnam, 1921) The Jungle Girl (New York: Clode, [1922]) and The Monkey God (London: Allan, 1933). He died in Brighton in 1947.

Tiger Girl: A Love Story of the Indian Jungle, Philip Allan, 1934
A deceiving one, this. It's actually a genuine, full-on supernatural tale set in the jungles of India, complete with were-tigers and siren-like women with back-facing feet who, when encountered, tear you to shreds! Typical 1930's Allan fare and good fun in that pulpy way.
